Things are looking busy in the near future with Club events.
Here's a list of forthcoming events�
28th August - club ride-out and overnight stay, Platres Troodos.
Expect to leave Ay Nik at around 2.30pm. We pick up Dhekelia Club members on our
way through Xylotimbou and expect to meet South Coast MCC at the McDonalds roundabout
Limassol, at 3.30 for a group twisty-turny ride up the mountain to the Petit Palais hotel, Platres.
Ample bike parking space. Good food and accommodation sorted. Not booked yet ?

Grand reopening of the South Coast MCC Clubhouse. After extensive refurbishment the
South Coast boys are about to complete their task. Invites to Bondu Rats to follow.

18th September - Ay Nik Fete. As many shiny bikes as we can muster !
The Club will have a stand at the Fete. This is the first time the Club has had an official
footing in station events. If the amount of interest generated in biking and all the issues
connected with the scene, is as good as the Dhekelia Fete, then this should be a good one !
Please try to be there ! If you can't be there for the duration of the Fete, the Club will
look after your bike in the display, in your absence.
We intend also to show off our two race mopeds !
South Coast and Dhekelia Clubs will also be in attendance, to swell the numbers.
There will be a post Fete barbecue and knees-up for our outgoing President, Lou Lewis.
25th-26th September - Chappiethon, RAF Akrotiri.
A 24 hour (yes, TWENTY FOUR hour) moped endurance race! Our TWO race rockets
have been tuned to the edge of destruction and the riders are in a similar condition.
If you're not racing, why not come along at some point during the two days, to support
your teams ?
The intent for some is to stay overnight on the Friday prior to the race, for a knees-up with
our fellow race nutters.
18th-29th October - IAM Lectures and Tests, Akrotiri
Flyers have gone out to most who might have a concern in taking an IAM test.
Exact dates for the lectures and time slots for tests will follow.
Hopefully, station transport can be arranged to take everyone to Akrotiri to
attend the lectures.
3rd weekend in October (TBC) Bikers Party, Paphos
South Coast MCC and Bondu Rats MCC have been invited to a bikers party
at the Prince of Wales Pub/bar in Paphos. For those that haven't been, it is
near the Tombs of the Kings (on most tourist maps).
The Prince of Wales is a biker friendly boozer and we were made most welcome when we last visited. Details, as usual, to follow�
Sometime in October - Booze Cruise to Rhodes.
Plenty going on for now !
When things quieten down, I will look into firming up details for this most promising of Club events.
